Running a business is challenging. Managing employees, serving customers, watching margins, navigating regulations and trying to plan for a future that feels increasingly uncertain takes time. The last thing most businesses have extra bandwidth for is tracking hundreds of bills during a 45-day legislative session. And yet, the decisions made at the Capitol this year will directly shape the environment in which all businesses operate, hire and grow.
The good news: You have a team working on your behalf every single day of the legislative session. When you can’t be at the Capitol, we are. When there’s an opportunity to strengthen Utah’s business climate, we’re at the table making sure your interests are represented.
Last year, the Salt Lake Chamber took a historic step by creating the Utah Chamber. For more than a century, the Salt Lake Chamber has served as a leading voice for business. The creation of the Utah Chamber allows the Salt Lake Chamber to fully focus on its region. While the Utah Chamber takes on the critical task of uniting local chambers and industry associations from all 29 counties into a single, powerful voice. The Salt Lake Chamber continues its vital work in our community. The Utah Chamber amplifies that work across the entire state. Together, we represent more than 80,000 employers and employees, and when we speak, legislators listen.
This matters because there is strength in numbers. A single business owner calling a legislator is easy to overlook. But when the Utah Chamber speaks, we represent the voice of Utah’s economy. Every special interest has someone fighting for them at the Capitol. Your membership ensures that the people who create jobs and drive our economy have a seat at that table too. This isn’t one organization’s agenda. It’s Utah’s business community standing together.
This month, we released the Utah Chamber 2026 Public Policy Guide, a roadmap shaped by business leaders like you from across the state. It outlines our priorities: housing affordability, transportation, energy, education and workforce, and more. I encourage you to review it. Throughout the session, we’ll provide tools to help you stay informed and engaged. Our bill tracker lets you follow legislation that matters to your business. Our updates keep you current on what’s happening and what it means. These resources exist because your voice matters and we want you to hear it.
Utah’s economic success has never been accidental. It’s the result of business leaders, elected officials and community partners coming together, finding common ground and doing the hard work. That collaborative spirit is what sets Utah apart. Your membership in this Chamber is part of that legacy. It’s part of how we protect what’s working and push for what’s next. So thank you for being part of this effort. Together, we’ll make sure Utah remains the best place in the nation to build a business, raise a family and plan for the future.
