These initiatives are as various as they are fundamental, and help to inform our advocacy at the federal, state and local level.

National Civics Bee

The Utah Chamber is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and several chambers of commerce across Utah to host a nonpartisan statewide civics competition. The 2025-26 National Civics Bee® encourages young Americans in 6th, 7th and 8th grade to engage in civics and contribute to their communities.

Utah Compact on Immigration

The Utah Compact, a declaration of five principles designed to guide Utah’s approach to immigration policy. Reaffirmed on March 21, 2019, the compact urges state leaders and Utah Members of Congress to adopt the following:

  • Law Enforcement
  • Families
  • Economy
  • A Free Society

The Utah Compact represents the collaborative effort of hundreds of organizations and individuals across business, faith, education and nonprofit sectors dedicated to reshaping the tone of the immigration discussion in Utah.

Utah Rising: A Free Enterprise Vision for Utah’s Economy is a vision that includes a statewide, business-led plan to ensure a prosperous future for all Utahns. This partnership between the business community and the public sector will help Utah become and remain the top performing economy in the nation. The Utah Chamber will bolster this initiative designed to tackle challenges associated with continued growth, workforce, housing, transportation, livability, business environment and natural resources.
